I am not much for bragging, but I feel this haul was one that needed to be bragged about: I obtained a lot of Cargo products to fill my make up drawer. For those who are not familiar with Cargo, it is cruelty-free and is made from post-consumer and recycled products. The packaging also has an industrial-type look to it. Also, it is on the expensive side. An average cost of a piece from Cargo runs at about $32.00 or €23.50. Well, today, I obtained 5 pieces from Cargo. Want to know the verdict? $23! That's right, I cleaned Ulta of their discount Cargo shelf and got 5 pieces for $23. The haul that I bought would have cost me around $96 if I were to buy it full price. Here are the products:

I will review each product individually, but here is a general overview: foundation, concealer, lip gloss wand, lip gloss duo, and eye shadow single. I will start with the foundation.
The foundation is just classic Cargo Oil-Free Foundation. It is lightweight, very blendable, and goes on like cream. It goes originally for $36, but I purchased it for $8.50. It is very comfortable to wear, and I would recommend it for those who will be going a long day and want comfortable foundation and do not want to reapply their makeup. Granted, I used a primer underneath, but this foundation alone I feel would last an entire day. The coverage is also fantastic. I have an incredibly uneven skintone, so if it covers my red spots, it is good. This foundation covered it no problem. I was very happy with the product. The only negative I encountered was the packaging itself: if I am going to pay $36 for a foundation, I want it in a sturdy, cute, glass bottle, not a squeeze-tube like a tube of Go-Gurt. That was the only negative for me. Overall, I would say I was happy with this product, and is worth the money. If you can get past the bendable, probably squish-able squeeze-tube, I would give it about a 9/10. Here are before and after shots of me using it: as you can see, my face almost looks airbrushed.
Next is the concealer: the concealer is OneBase Concealer+Foundation in one. It goes for around $28.0-$30, and I got mine for $8.
The stuff is phenominal. It comes with a wand applicator, so it is precise and easy for blending. I have my own personal test to see if a concealer is good or not: if it can cover my beauty mark on my upper lip. Don't get me wrong, I love my mark, but since it is large and dark, if a concealer can cover it, then I consider that concealer good. This one did the trick effortlessly. It makes it seem as if my mole isn't even there. Also, it is not cakey or chalky like basic concealers. I think next, I will attempt to see if this concealer covers tattoos. Ill update you if it does! Again, before and after shots on myself. In one photo, the mole is there, in the other, it is not. I would have to give this a 10/10. Everything I need: light, easy to use, portable.
Next, I will do the eyeshadow single. It runs at $16, but I got mine for $2. I don't even think CoverGirl has eyeshadows for $2! Anyways, the color I got is called Moreton Bay. It is a deep purple, but not too tacky. Perfect for light brown/ hazel eyes like mine. This color probably would not work on somebody who has light or blue eyes. The eyeshadow itself glides onto the lid. I did not use an eyeshadow primer (I think eyeshadow primer is a gimmick) and it lasted all day. Unlike some eyeshadows, it does not crease, does not fall, and does not turn color throughout the day. The packaging is cute as well. It comes in a small-industrial size pot. The only thing, it kind of has a funky smell to it. I guess you could say it smells industrial as well. It has almost am herbal smell to it. I mean obviously unless there's something weird going on, people are not going to be smelling your eyelids. Don't get me wrong, it is a FABULOUS eyeshadow, but I don't think I would have purchased it for $16. That's just me though. I have swatched it on my wrist so you can see:
Finally, I will review the glosses. One is a wand, the other is in a similar container to the eyeshadow, but is a duo. The wand color is called Tuscany, and runs at about $13.00, I got mine for $1. The other is Chatanooga and runs at about $48.00. Safe to say, I have new favorite lip glosses!
I will start with the Tuscany wand (far left). It is absolutely dazzling! it goes on like butter, so no clumps, stickiness, or collecting dead skin. The color is a little milder on my lips than it is in the tube: more of a transparent glimmer than a full blown PINK. In the picture of my lips, I was wearing Tuscany. It is a natural pink but with a dazzling glimmer. This lip gloss is good for kissing lol. It lasts long and stays put. It also does not have a god-awful smell and taste like some of the high-end products tend to have. (For example, my favorite lip gloss of all time, my signature, Turkish Delight. The taste could make even a taste-bud-less person gag!). I would give this gloss overall a 9/10.
Next, Chatanooga. This one comes in the tin and is best applied with a lip brush. There are 2 colors as you can see, and both are swatched above. The one on the left I immediately fell in love with. It is similar to Turkish Delight in color, but the consistence is more of a gel. It lasts for ever as well. The only negative is if you apply too much, it looks REALLY globby. The scent is pretty nice as well. It smells almost like oatmeal if that makes sense? I would definitely purchase this, if it comes in a wand. I love the cut little tin on my makeup table, but it isn't very portable: if you put this in your pocket, people might think you have a container of chew in your pocket. We don't want that. Color: 10/10. Overall, 8/10.
The right side was not as practical as the left. The right was glittery...like REALLY glittery. Almost like a drag queen. It can be seen from miles away. What I DID like however, is this gloss is SUPER glossy. it looks like the gloss on Maybelline commercials. You know, when it almost looks wet. It was a little too much for me, but as an accent, like a dab in the center of your lip to add dimension, this works perfectly. However, I think $48 is a lot for a "little accent dab". Color: 6/10: borderline tacky, but not awful.
I hope this review will inspire you to try the Cargo line. I am definitely a fan and I can promise you this brand wont let you down. Thanks for reading!
