And that is why for today, I will share my fabulous little sushi date with my
best friend. It was rather spontaneous actually, a cute little chalk sign caught
our eye reading “sushi night” so of course we stopped in. The restaurant was
located in the heart of historic downtown, so of course it had an old brewery,
vintage feel to it. And what’s better than that is the place has huge windows
that the open so the entire bistro is airy and open. If you are ever in the
Cleveland area, I must recommend Ballantine Bistro. Great atmosphere, good food,
and nice prices.
The food was magnificent. I had my fiesta futomaki roll which is just an over sized sushi roll with ahi tuna, wakame weed, sesame seeds, tempura crab, and a spicy filling. And of course the roll was adorned with caviar. It's just because I'm fancy. It was also served with ginger, so I got crafty and crushed the ginger and added it to my water for an extra kick. It was excellent. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate my experience (not counting the power outage and storm) overall a 9.
Thanks for viewing!
