As some of you may be familiar with, the company Pantone releases a “Color of the Year” annually to predict what will be the hottest, trendiest color for the following year. It has been decided that the color “Marsala” has been selected, so be ready to see this hue in fashion pretty soon.
The Color of the Year is a huge deal for designers, artists, photographers, and just people who like to stay on top of trends in fashion. Even large corporations such as Sephora have released items that coincide with what Pantone picks. I personally, am ecstatic that the color of the year is a rich, maroon color. Not only is this color very versatile for a lot of skin tones and hair colors (I would love to try this color on my red-haired friend), but it can be worn all year round. Many people view maroon hues as strictly winter colors, but surprisingly, a deep wine color can look beautiful in the summer with a tan and sundress as well.
