I started off the morning with a nice little glass of detox: club soda with some strawberries soaking in it. Today, my look is simple. Some of my favorite Nars products with my favorite simple, white nails.
This lipstick is semi-matte and glides on beautifully. It is not too hard in consistency, so it does not cause dead skin. It also does not dry to make your lips appear as if there are cracks in them. It glides on gorgeously like butter. I even use some of my Smith's Rosebud Salve so it glides on even better. A nice addition to any causal make-up look. I would give it a 9/10.
Ecume is perfect for summer and is a great alternative to darker shades or even neon ones. I like it because I feel it elongates my stubby fingers. And what's even better than that is the fact that it lasts forever: I can wear it to my waitressing job and not have to worry about chipping. It also keeps your nails nice and sturdy so they don't break or peel. Definitely worth it. 10/10.
Hungry Heart is a neutral, yet shimmering duo as you can see swatched above. This set is perfect for illuminating in places such as under the browns, the nose, above the lip, and is perfect for sculpting some intense cheek bones. You know what makes it even better? It also can be used as a magnificent eyeshadow. Although I do not show it here, if I first use Nars Cosmic Girl cream eyeshadow as a primer and then layer the left color over it, it is one of my favorites to wear on the daily.
Left side: the 2 colors do not have individual names, but I will refer to them simply as "left" and "right". The left side is definitely more of an illuminator or highlighter. It offers a dewy, shimmery look, but is not too overdramatic. It last a long time as well: all you really need is a sweep of it, so this palette will definitely be of use for a long time. This color also can be used all year long. It will highlight a summer tan, but will also enhance your skin during the colder months. I would give the left side a 9/10.
Right side: This side is more of a blush than an illuminator. This side also makes a better eyeshadow. The left side looks fabulous on the brow bone, but this side works well as an eyeshadow that can be used on the entire lid or even just the crease for a pop of sparkle. As far as for a blush, it offers a perfect hint of a neutral shimmer. This blush is a bit warmer than the left side, but it is not too dramatic of a coral tone. However, unlike the left side, I feel this is more of a summer/ early fall type of shade. It is a little too rosey/ dewy for winter months. I give it an 8/10.
