Happy October. Tis the season for leggings, boots, those fabulous Pillsbury Halloween character cookies, bulk-knit sweaters, Godiva hot cocoa..let's see what else, you get the idea.
This post is different from my usual beauty or fashion. Did you guys know I have a love of interior design as well? Yes I do. I consider it a type of art and definitely an acquired skill. This gallery of photos is simply a collection of images from numerous sources that would make up my dream home.
Some aspects of interior design I love include:
*vintage; I LOVE vintage, shabby chic, 1920's inspired, chandeliers, lace, distressed furniture, the whole 9 yards.
* unique lighting: fancy light fixtures, strings of lights here and there, recessed lighting, candelabras.
*WHITE. Uh-oh. this might be a problem since I am as well a cat lover. Oh well.
* Mirrors and windows. Adding mirrors to a space can make the room appear larger. I love windows because I love open spaces and flowy curtains.
* Classical elements. One of my favorite period of art is the Rococo Period, and I want to incorporate it into my house. I also love Greek Antiquity and the Corinthian period (marble statues, fluted collums, fountains, etc.)
* Moroccan: I LOVE black and white tile floors, interesting door ways, and a touch of lapis-lazuli blue here and there.
