Myself in a $500 BCBG Max Azria dress that I fell INLOVE with.
So yesterday, I hit the mall with my girlfriends for some retail therapy (stressful week). As I browsed through Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, BCBG, and Bebe, I noticed some garments that were absolutely incredible. But I also noticed something else: once I went to H&M, Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, I found garments that could easily pass as say Michael Kors or BCBG. Don't get me wrong, I LIVE for couture, but the following 10 are ones I feel could come straight from a Marc Jacobs runway.
Faux Leather Circle Skirt. H&M. $34. I could see this on a mannequin at Saks and never guess it was from H&M.
Gold Sequin Cap-Sleeve Dress. Forever 21. $39. Had me fooled, this could pass for Michael Kors in my eyes. And I even have a really good eye for knock-offs!
Textured-Weave Dress. H&M. $52. Looks pretty nice to me.
Fringe Satchel. Charlotte Russe. $21. Thought it was closer to $150, nah, just $21.
Leather Shoes. H&M. $79.00. Pretty sure Louboutin came out with something like this
Knock-off Louboutin Pumps. Charlotte Russe. $30: Ok i know for a FACT Louboutin did these first. But if youre broke like me, of course youre going to pick $30 over $725.
Tiered Zip-Up Blazer. Forever 21. $34. Looks pretty Donna Karan to me.
Faux Mohair Sweater. H&M. $40. I mean unless you feel that it's acrylic fur and not mohair, is anyone really going to be able to tell a difference? No. Acne Studios came out with basically the exact same sweater last fall.
Tortoise Shell Aviators. Forever 21. $12.99. Lol at Ray Bans!
Faux Fur Vest. Forever 21. $55. I mean come on now..nobody in the Garment District of NYC would guess Forever 21.
